ONF Conosur is a Franco-Chilean company resulting from the association of ONFl and SYLVAE. ONF Conosur benefits both from the experience of ONFl and the technical knowledge and local integration of SYLVAE.

ONF Conosur has animated the Regional Delegation of the France-Southern Cone's « Forest-Parks-Environment programme » since 1997. This programme targets the promotion of sustainable management and multi-functionality of the region's natural resources, and has resulted in the implementation of several projects in Chile, Argentina and Paraguay.

In 2006 ONF Conosur launched feasibility studies for wood energy projects in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Brazil in response to actions launched by ONFI targeting the elaboration of a catalogue of eligible CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) forestry projects. These projects will complete that of the FFEM currently undergoing validation and entitled "Technical and institutional support to African and Latin American countries for the elaboration of eligible CDM projects".
